TOUR 4 PALMERIES OF THE SOUTH & DESERT DISCOVERY TREK Balthazar Tours offers itineraries tailor made to your needs
and budget. The exchange between us and our customers is at the heart of our tours. If you can’t decide how to
make the most of your holiday we offer the following tour as a suggestion. In keeping with our belief in preserving
the culture and ecology of Morocco we donate 5% of our profit to the Association Mqourn which assists with development and
regeneration of the local area and historic sites in Tinghir.

Day 1 Arrive Marrakech. Your driver will collect
you from the airport and take you to your accommodation. Depending on your time of arrival you will have the afternoon/evening
to explore the wonders of Marrakech. Visit the Jemaa El Fna Square, the Old Medina, the Koutoubia Minaret, the Bahia
Palace, the Majorelle Botanical Gardens, the ruins of Elbadii Palace where you can see the tanners and dyers quarters, join
the hustle and bustle and bargain in the souks or if you just want to sit back and get orientated, take a position in one
of the many cafe's & restaurants that border the main square and observe the madness beyond.

Day 2 Marrakech. A full day to explore this
exotic city.

Day 3 Marrakech - Zagora (Drâa Valley) - Oulad
Driss (430 km) . Early in the morning we make our way across the High Atlas Mountain via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass
observing some of Morocco's most picturesque scenery to the oasis town of Ouarzazate. We will visit the nearby
fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site that contains the best preserved collection of kasbahs in Morocco.
We will continue our drive along the Valley of Drâa to Zagora before making our way to Oulad Driss. At Oulad Driss
we will take a 1h30 camel ride into the Sahara Desert in preparation for our 3 day trek.

DAY 4 to 6 Oulad Driss - Erl lihoudi - Ouad naam -
Dunes of Chegaga. Early in the morning we start our desert trek walking approximately 4 to 5 hours per day. You
will pass beautiful villages, crops of wheat and barley, a palmerie and see the clever operation of an oasis, spending each
night in traditional nomad tents and sampling the traditional food of the desert south.

Day 7 Chegaga Dunes - Marrakech (350 km) .
Early in the morning we make our way to Marrakech via the oasis town of Ouarzazate. We will visit the nearby fortified
village of Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site that contains the best preserved collection of Kasbahs in Morocco.
We will then cross the High Atlas Mountain via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass observing some of Morocco's most picturesque scenery
to the great city of Marrakech.

Day 8 Your driver will collect you from your hotel
and take you to the airport for your flight departure.
