To support and promote locally owned operators in Morocco we have aligned ourselves with several local tourism and charitable businesses.  Some of our Affiliates are below:

 

Accommodation

A Riad is a traditional Moroccan house with interior garden or courtyard.  Staying in a Riad is the best way to discover the true character of Morocco. 

 

Dar Afram – Essaouira 

Riad Dar Afram is a traditional Riad located in the heart of the ancient Medina in the beautiful coastal town of Essaouira in Morocco.  The Riad has been totally renovated and decorated but maintains the traditional style of a Moroccan Riad.  Music is at the heart of the experience in Dar Afram who frequently has impromptu performances by local artists.

Dar Najia -  Fes

Riad Dar Najia is a beautifully restored Riad located in the heart of the Fes Medina.  Traditionally furnished and situated in an excellent location for exploring all that Fes has to offer.

Charitable Organisations

 

Association Mqourn

Association Mqourn assists with development and regeneration of the local area and historic sites in Tinghir and its surrounding area.  In doing this the association believes it is contributing to the economic, social, cultural and educational development of the local community.

Association Ighir

Association Ighir is a non government organisation which aims to assist with the social integration of physically handicapped people in Tinghir and its surrounding area.  The Association currently has 379 people registered for aid. 

Some of the work of the Association includes:

  • The education and training in handcraft trades to create social contacts and to allow a degree of financial autonomy.
  • To provide physiotherapy to relieve pain and improve living conditions for as long as possible.
  • To provide transport to the outer regions of the area to allow those not able to, to get to the Association.
  • To sell and promote the handicrafts made to emphasize the value of the products and promote a sense of self worth for the individuals involved.
